Fondue Recipes
About this fondue recipe:
This delicious vegetable fondue is sure to please your stomach. It takes roughly 20-30 minutes to prepare. Asparagus and bacon go well together in this non-traditional fondue dish.


Ingredients:
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 and a ½ cups milk
1/2 pound fresh Asparagus spears, chopped or 1 can (15oz) asparagus spears, drained and chopped
3 slices bacon, cooked until crisp
Ground black pepper
Loaf of bread French bread, cut into small pieces or vegetables (blanched or raw) for serving


Directions:
1. Melt butter in Fondue pot. Add flour and stir slowly until well blended, between 60-90 seconds.

2. Pour milk in slowly, stirring until mixture thickens. occasionally to prevent clumps.

3. Add chopped asparagus and bacon, season with pepper & salt to taste. Stir well.

Serve with bread or vegetables.

"This is one of my favorite fondue recipes. I add a little olive oil to the asparagus after chopping it and use center-cut bacon because it's great. I also serve it with soft pretzels."
